Winter & Spring 2020
January 12-May 24
9:00-10:00AM
Adult Classes---
OLD TESTAMENT STUDY: THE PROPHETS (Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Daniel)
FACILITATOR: TERRY HARWOOD
(MEETS IN FIRESIDE ROOM)
We will get going again in the book of Isaiah (continued from the Spring). We will explore the text before us and also discuss the following questions: Is the US a nation failing God as Judah did? How should born-again believers react and what their role is in being involved in government in our country? What is our 'place and responsibility' and how do we best accomplish this?
DISCIPLESHIP STUDY: THE JESUS CREED
FACILITATOR: NAT SCHEY/KURT STAEUBLE
(MEETS IN THE YOUTH LOUNGE)
Jesus was once asked about which of the 613 Old Testament laws was the most important. His reply was marked with stark brevity, yet was incredibly encompassing: “Love God, Love others.” Known as the Great Commandment, Jesus offered his followers a creed to wrap their entire lives around. The JESUS CREED group will use stories and scripture from the Bible to create a template for what loving God and others looks like in everyday life. Expect to be enlightened, encouraged and challenged as we pursue a life that pleases God, blesses others and brings wholeness and purpose to our everyday living. Nat Schey and Kurt Staeuble are your class facilitators. Meets in the Youth Lounge at 9:00 AM
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are planning to take part in an Adult Connect class and you have kids, please let our Children's Ministry Director, Marilee Finney, know so she has plenty of materials and staff on hand for every child participating. You can email her at marilee@cdabible.org or sign up in the lobby next Sunday.
