What to Expect

Our services and classes are open to everyone.  We understand that visiting a new church can feel a bit daunting and intimidating.  To make things a little smoother for you, we’ve provided the following to help you know what to expect:

Before the Service

  • We’re located at 5350 North 4th Street, between Kathleen and Dalton (right across the street from Coeur d’Alene High School).

  • We really aren’t concerned about how you choose to dress…we’re just glad to have you join us! On any given Sunday you will find people wearing everything from suits to shorts.  At CBC we believe God is much more concerned about what’s going on inside of us rather than what we look like on the outside.  Since God looks at the hearts of people and not their outward appearance (1 Samuel 16:7), we endeavor to do the same.

  • Feel free to park anywhere in our parking lots, but we’d like you to know that there are some spaces designated as visitor parking just for you!  These spaces can be found right by the entrances of both our north and south parking lot.

  • You are welcome to join us at either our 8:30 AM or 10:15 AM worship service.  Both services are identical in content.

  • An information desk is located in the church lobby.  Here you can find answers to your questions or directions to find your way around our campus.

  • Nursery care is provided for infants and toddlers during both services, as well as age-graded Sunday classes all the way up through 5th grade.  Classes for middle and high school students are offered during the 8:30 AM worship service.  You may also choose to have your children join you in the service.

  • Before the actual service begins, the pre-service time is a great time to get know those around you.  Feel free to talk and enjoy a cup of coffee, as you make new friends.

Between the Services

  • During the time between the services (from 9:45-10:15 AM), we provide a time of fellowship and interaction in our gym.  You’ll find baristas serving up coffee, lattes and hot chocolate.

 During the Service

  • As you enter into the service, look for an usher, if you desire a Sunday service bulletin, which will provide you with lyrics to the songs we sing, a place to take notes as you listen to the message, as well as information about upcoming church activities.

  •   Feel free to sit wherever you like…no seats are reserved.

  • A major aspect of our time of worship is congregational singing.  Music is a wonderful, God-given tool designed to stir our spirits in expressing our hearts towards God.  Musically speaking, our worship style seeks to be culturally relevant. You’ll likely hear a lot of current worship songs, along with the occasional traditional offering.  All in all, our desire is provide a timely worship experience that revolves around the timeless truths of our God.  Words to the songs we sing are displayed on the video screens, as well as inside the bulletin.

  • During the message, we often look at a few passages of the Bible together.  If you have a Bible, feel free to bring it with you.  If you don’t own a Bible, we have some available for you to take home with you in the lobby.

After the Service

  • At the conclusion of our services, we have a team of men and women who will be up front near the stage.  They are known as our Sunday Morning Response Team.  Their purpose is to meet with individuals who desire prayer, have questions about the message, or want to know more about what it means to be in a relationship with God.  Feel free to visit with them after the service, if you have questions or would like prayer.
