Community Dinner
Celebrate with us in the amazing things God is doing!

  • 100 involved CBC families are divided into five teams. Ten families are in positions of leadership running the dinners and preparing fresh cooked meals. Members also bring desserts to share each week.
  • In the 42 weeks we’ve been open, more than 2,500 meals have been served.
  • Shelter was given to a man whose trailer burned. CBC care groups provided him gift cards and a Christmas tree as well as finding him a job.
  • CBC members have given haircuts, donated food, clothing, stuffed animals, crafts, and doggie treat bags to give away on Sundays.

  • People have delivered groceries to homes or motels.
  • The college group organized two food drives.
  • Groups of kids from the community have come to help.
  • CBC members have played background music at dinners.
  • A local MOPS group cooked chicken enchiladas.

  • A young man from the community served his community service time on Sundays. He was a huge help and had fun.
  • Our CBC family gave 30 bundles of new socks, underwear and undershirts for Father’s Day gifts. They were a big hit.
  • Some have purchased gas for cars and propane for trailers.

  • A CBC young lady had her friends buy toiletries to give away instead of giving her presents on her birthday.
  • When a homeless woman moved into an apartment, CBC folks got her a bed and basic supplies to get started.
  • A homeless man has committed to helping out at the Sunday meal every week.
  • We are getting to know people by name as we serve our guests, sit with them to eat and spend time in conversation.
  • Folks who have needed rides have been provided transportation.
